Ivanhoé Cambridge, a global real estate leader, owns and manages a world-class portfolio of commercial properties, including some of Canada’s most prominent shopping centres. To support a seamless shopping experience for both tenants and their customers, Ivanhoé Cambridge partnered with AlphaPay to deploy an integrated, all-in-one payment solution across select retail environments.

By equipping tenants with Moneris Go Plus (DX8000) terminals with the AlphaPay app integrated, Ivanhoé Cambridge enables acceptance of both domestic and international payments that includes credit, debit, and mobile wallets.

Challenges

Ivanhoé Cambridge’s retail tenants serve a diverse mix of local and international customers. The key challenges were:

The AlphaPay-Moneris Go Plus solution was rolled out to tenants within select Ivanhoé Cambridge-managed properties:

• Devices pre-configured with the AlphaPay app to enable QR scanning and real-time transaction tracking

• Tenants trained in device usage and multilingual customer support

• Consistent branding and UX to elevate the customer experience across mall locations

• Flexible configuration allowing each tenant to maintain individual merchant accounts and reporting

Moneris Go Plus (DX8000)

The Moneris Go Plus is a smart payment terminal built on the Ingenico AXIUM DX8000 platform. It features a large touchscreen, wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi and 4G), and built-in camera support—making it suitable for QR code scanning and mobile wallet payments. Designed for flexibility, it runs on Android OS and supports integrated apps like AlphaPay, enabling a unified experience for both traditional and alternative payment methods in a single device.
